Woodworking is a hobby for me. Most of the pieces displayed on this site I made to decorate my house, or more recently, have been made to help furnish my daughter and son’s apartments. While woodworking is not a business for me, I am willing to make custom bowls or lamps on request. If you are interested in ordering a piece, please reach out to me and we can discuss the project regarding size, design, and wood choice. Bowls and lamps range in price from $300 to $500 dollars depending on design and size.
Many people have that one teacher that they fondly remember as having an impact on their life. For me, it was Glen Proceus, my high school woodshop teacher. Mr. Proceus taught me the basics of woodworking, making a plan, how to safely use tools, using the right tool for the job, etc. More importantly, he helped me find my passion for creating projects in the woodshop.

After high school I attend SUNY Oswego to pursue a degree in education. More specifically, I wanted to be a woodshop teacher! When I graduated, teaching jobs were scarce in my home area, so I joined my father in the family tire business and relegated my woodworking to hobby status.

I already enjoyed working on a wood lathe.
During my bachelor years, my woodworking went rather dormant (having too much fun with friends to stay home in the basement!). Getting married and having two children gave me new motivation to get back to my woodshop and create lasting projects and memories.

Raising two children and becoming involved with their activities became the priority and once more my woodworking took a back seat. Now that they have grown up and moved on to live their own lives, I have rediscovered my passion for woodworking. I have made a number of projects to help them furnish their apartments.

Most recently, I have concentrated on segmented turning projects on my lathe. I am constantly trying to up my game not only with my lathe techniques, but also with the design elements.
